The Design Studio at SFMOMA has 3 ladders used for various installations around the museum.

why

Previously, the ladders were marked with sharpie. I decided to make the ladders more identifiable to the Design Studio.

tools used

Adobe Illustrator, high-tac vinyl, x-acto knife, and patience.

Process

Starting out on the project, I knew that I wanted to do something more than just create a label saying Design Studio. SFMOMA’s rebrand includes a striped pattern that I am a huge fan of, and I felt it would work great on the ladders, since it would also simulate the look of movement.
